V.S.P.M. College of Education (B.Ed) is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj university,Nagpur.

The College is situated near katol Railway station a Khutatmba Road katol. Bus facilities available from the bus stand at distance of 1 k.m & 200 meter from Railwaystation. College is self finance Institute Run by VSPM ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION,NAGPUR .The academic & admistrative work of college is carried out as per the direction of NCTE & Director of Higher Education , Pune . The Institute having college development committee ,IQAC cell & various cells organized Various programs & workshop in the institute Under the supervision & guidance of its committee members & college principal.

To achieve the National goal of country to provide the well teachers, who nurish the society & develop the young talent.

Institutional Strength

1.The V.S.P.M.College of Education katol is a pioneer in the field of Education in the rural areas of katol taluka near Nagpur metro city. which is the vice-capital of India and contributes to the provision of educational facilities.

2.The Princial of the college takes important decisions while following the policy which is followed by members of governing body, management board and experienced faculty members.

3.Since the academic session 2008-09 the college plays an important role in imparting good quality Education in the rutal areas qualified and experienced porfessors of the college,while serving in the fields teach with a research approach while trying to provide student centered Education in the study teaching.

4.The college makes contiuous efforts throughout the year to provide opportunities for the faculty members of the college to attend developmental programs in their respective departments.

Institutional weakness

1. The financial side of the college depends on the tuition fees of the students and according to the financial provision of the students from the common families in the rural areas, the college has inadequate facilities for the students.

2. In terms of the development work of the college apart from the education fee no other fee is lived on the students so there are financial difficulties in the development of the school premises

3. The duration of the academic field for the research work and practical work in the curriculum is not planned at the university level but it is seen that the curriculum is being implemented in the colleges according to the annual plan.

4. In terms of social development values such as integration , nationalism, patriotism, institutional respect for teacher, respect, dignity etc are inculcated through programs like NSS but the college has not got a university NSS unit for B.Ed business courses.

Instututional Opportunity

1.Student admitted through the college are given the opportunity to develop effective public speaking through the memories of the programe management during training.

2.The practical work that comes under the curriculum of the college is introduced by the expert guides through the workshop through which the students get the opportunity to acquire hands on experience.

3.With the permission of the schools,the college provides opportunities for conducting school practice lesson,observation and record reports in schools within the college premises to provide students with hands on experience in teaching and learing through the college.

4.Employment guidance in the college keeping in view the women empowerment and socio-economic needs, the institute gives priority opportunities to college student to provide in service opportunities.

Institutional challenges

1.Since the objective of each compontent sub-component of the curriculum is not clear, proper dirction cannot be clarified.

2.Since the financial condition of the college is not good, the teachers are unable to show their readiness for activities.

3.Due large scope of curricular and curricular programs, planning of annual and semester componts seems to be compliecated by busyness.

4.Regional differences in B.ed. curriculum creat barriers for students to access national level service opportunities.

5.Since the scope of the syllabus is more, the time for actual practical work is less.
